Bielefelder or bielefelder-ameraucana crosses - you choose! Bieles are easy to raise, docile, and friendly breed. Hens grow large and roosters can reach 10 lbs. This dual purpose breed lays pink-brown eggs for years. Hens do go broody, but never once have we had a mean Bielefleder rooster in all the years we have owned them. These birds have different plumage at birth, so you know at birth what you got! For mixed eggs, they're gathered from our freerange mixed flock of ameraucanas, bieles and a couple of mutts. All are good layers and come from a dozen generations of hardiness and ability to evade predators and scrounge for their food. Shipping is $16 due to extra wrapping and packing to avoid breakage.
