Kathryn created Fairhill Farm in 1985. Now a semi-retired ER physician, she is able to spend most of her time enjoying the poodles & puppies, horses & riding and learning about her latest venture breeding and raising fullblood Lowline Angus cattle for the grass-fed gourmet beef market.

About Us

Fairhill Farm is situated on 160 acres of gracefully sloping farm and wood land on the brow of the South Mountain of the Annapolis Valley. An idyllic spot with a grand view of Nova Scotia’s most fertile agricultural area, it is well suited for raising horses and grass-fed beef cattle.  Within the 7 acre chain-link fenced yard surrounding the house and barn there is ample room for poodles to safely play and just enjoy being dogs.

Gordon is the “go to guy” at Fairhill Farm.  He performs most of the daily chores and maintains the grounds and buildings through the arduous snowy winter and the long busy days of spring and summer.  He always finds time to make sure that Boss the bull gets a good head scratch, Draco gets an extra serving of carrots, and every puppy gets a special cuddle.
